| John Robb | johnrobb311@btinternet.com | Another great day out, with the weather being very kind after last year. The bacon butties were a masterpiece, looking forward to seeing the chef on celebrity cooking next time! Well chuffed to have our everyday workhorse picked for a place in the pride of ownership, pity it did not win, but its the taking part that counts. Well done to everyone for making it a great day. | 1st July 2009 |
| Mike Duley | meduley@talktalk.net | A most enjoyable day with perfect weather. The picnic at the end of the run was very pleasant but my enjoyment of a chocolete mousse was interupted when I was called to the ring to learn that my car had won the 1962-1980 Class. I was amazed and delighted. Thanks for an excellent and well organised event.
Cheers.

| Chris and Jude Catlin | . | Just wanted to let you know what an enjoyable day we had yesterday on
the Chase. It was a first "in the Trees" and was by far the best event
we have been to in a very long time. Yes, of course the weather made a
significant difference but what was particularly noticeable was the
genuine welcome we received on arrival, the friendliness of everyone
involved and a real sense of concern that we had had an enjoyable time.
The whole event was well and professionally organised with a good
itinerary. I can only imagine the enormous amount of hard work that
goes into organising such an event and I would be grateful if you would
pass our thanks to everyone involved for making it such a great day. I
hope that the generosity of those attending enables the club to exceed
last year's donation to such a worthy charity.
My only disappointment is that I'm not local enough to have SSMGOC as
my club !
Regards
Chris and Jude Catlin

| Dee | Deepugh75@hotmail.com | The MG's in the tree's event was advertised in the Cannock Mercury as being held today!!! After looking at your website it was just a Treasure hunt that was cancelled today due to bad weather but we only found that out after going up to the Chase with our dog!! Not to worry though-if MG's in the tree's goes ahead next weekend we'll be there-my son wants to see the cars and the South Staffs Dog Display Team!

| Mike Barnes | mbarnes.maxim@ukonline.co.uk | Hi all i attended a meet in 2007 it was a great day out as this was my first rally attended in my 72 roadster. I will have to remember my chain-saw this year for any fallen trees which may block the lanes as it did in this year I will have to make the effort to attend this year as my dad is the Air Ambulance co-ordinator who will be attending with the helicopter pod in tow. Hope it's a great day Mike! | 31st May 2009 |
| Alex van Ooijen | aejvanooijen@tele2.nl | Dear All,
After having met a couple of your members during the Stoneleigh show last week-end (22 Feb. 09) I couldn't wait to visit your site and have a look-around. I must say to be very impressed, an excellent site with lots of information and very nice pictures. At Stoneleigh I had a very good discussion on RV8s with Steve (did not get his family-name) and another member (the owner of the red RV8 on your display). I checked your events calendar but could not find the date that you were coming to The Netherlands (as Steve told me) and when you were also going to visit the Keukenhof flower show. I much appreciated the very friendly atmosphere and hospitality at your Club's stand.
Just one note (if I may), as an MGC owner, I missed this type on your member's cars photo gallery.
Friendly Regards,
and perhaps we C each other again in the future..!
Alex

| Gary Troman,Sutton Coldfield. | Gary.Troman@btinternet.com | We had a fantastic day, the organisation was perfect. The venue could not be improved on, the run(Churnet Valley Railway) was very enjoyable. Even when we were driving down a country lane, went round a bend to be confronted with a 12 foot tramoline that had blown over someones garden wall. The route directions were very accurate.
So a BIG THANK YOU to the Team that organised this event and to the scouts for doing a sterling job of marshalling.
If anyone knows where you got the bacon from, could you let me know - it was delicious.
Looking forward to 'MGs in the Trees 2009'.

| Roger + Nicky Boys and Paddy (the Westie) | rogerb@newbury.net | We have had a wonderful day on the event and would like to say a very big thank you to all the team that worked so hard to put it on. We completed the Ironbridge run and were surprised that there was so much to see. This sadly meant that we were the second last car to return when you were all working hard to pack up!
One last point while I know that you do not recommend any of the places mentioned in your suggested accommodation sheet, however please be aware that the one we stayed at was very poor and in our view should be removed. Three couples, of which we were one, were all booked in for two nights but left after one - it was the Cottage Guest House, Pear Tree Close. Huntington. | 23rd June 2008 |

A wonderful day out in fantastic countryside with great company and lovely cars. Who could ask for more! We will most definitely be back. | Mike Lane | mike.lane1@virgin.net | Great day and organisation on this, our first MG's in the Trees Cannock Chase Run. Your arrowed MG pointer signs to the event were very welcome to us outsiders, these being finally found after driving around the area for some little while, followed by other MG's who we noticed, also stopped behind us and asked the same local people for the same directions as we did! They obviously knew the golden rule not to follow the car in front as they may be lost and in this case, was very true! We supported your event as we met you at Stoneleigh and were impressed with the effort you made then. I also know this to be the same story from fellow MG'ers from the Bedford group, so it does work! Your cheery marshalling was well organised and their hard work much appreciated. The excellent route was well planned and we only had one slight detour. Congratulations to all. Mike Lane (Oxford Blue RV8 - Winchester MGOC) | 18th June 2007 |
